So I begin this once again with the thought in mind that this is something I really want to pursue. It got left behind a little bit whilst I focused on other opportunities that had come to me but now, I think it is the time to pick it back up again.
I still feel that there is a great amount of value in sharing the experiences of parenthood and providing a place for others to be able to share and seek out advice of their own. As I write this now, significant time has passed – my baby boy is now 1 and he is a very cheeky Chappy and Molly continues to grow into the most amazing little girl.
But more to the point, I have a significant number of friends who are expecting, some a lot sooner than others. When it comes to who they would reach out to, I don’t know who they have got. In the early stages I wasn’t sure who to speak to, or how to discuss what I was feeling. Why can’t this be a judgement free place for them to ask? To have others to talk to who have been through all of this before could be huge.
So here we are once again. I don’t want to do this for me, I want to do this for them.
